CORE/El Centro is a healing, dynamic, grassroots, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers individuals of all income levels access to
natural healing therapies.
Our center is a place where healing and transformation occur daily for individuals, families and the community. We are a volunteer driven
organization that relies heavily on the gifts and talents of professionals in the fields of Chinese Medicine, Massage Therapy, Energy Work and
Wholistic Exercise.
Our programs serve a variety of populations: women, men, children, survivors of trauma, those with chronic health issues, survivors of cancer,
and beyond. We hope you will join us in exploring the various pathways that can lead you to the CORE of your being.

CORE/El Centro is joining other tenants in its new, eco-friendly building at 130 W. Bruce Street in March, 2012, designed by Developer,
Juli Kaufmann of Fix Development. Mayor Tom Barrett applauded the efforts of Kaufmann along with the tenants and donors who contributed
to transforming the vacant brownfield into a productive, environmentally sustainable "living" building.
This innovative landmark will serve as one of the greenest buildings in the nation and the new home of The Healing Collective: CORE/El
Centro, Aurora Walker's Point Community Clinic, and The Healing Center. CORE/El Centro will continue its mission to promote health,
wellness and education within this new space and positively impact the community and environment.
A goal of zero net energy

Space limitations as well as concerns about continuing disrepair of our current building led us to think (along with our Healing Collective partners) of moving to another site. This new site allows CORE to increase its space by 37%, enabling us to expand our programs and services to also include a garden and activity area on the roof. The opportunity to relocate to an environmentally sustainable building
incorporates cost-effective, innovative green stategies that fit perfectly with our values and vision of offering natural therapies!
CORE/El Centro's estimated total budget for this project is $500,000 of which we have already secured $363,000 through grants/pledges from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Enroth Family fund, the Faye McBeath Foundation, four private donors and many, many generous friends.
We still need to raise $137,000 and need your help! Your gift would help us finish our space and support us as we continue fulfilling our mission to make our community well and whole. You can also help by contributing to our "WISH LIST". We have many items that are essential for us to function as we continue to reach out into the Milwaukee community.
We ask that you partner with us by making a contribution of your choice to help make our move possible. All donations are appreciated and all donors' names will be listed on our "Donor Wall" in our new building! To learn more about the campaign, click here.
